A New Year's Ritual For Women
As I deepen into my own personal practices in a magnificent new setting atop a mountain on Mt. Belcher, on Salt Spring Island, I've become inspired to gather together groups of women to share some of what I've been exploring here as well as delve into a more focused time together. With the intent of renewing our inspiration in safety and solidarity with other women, I'm excited to offer this day-long ritual at "Mountain Aerie" (shown in slide show pictures).
The day will include:
cacao ceremony by the fire
facilitated and free dance to great music
forum practice and conversation about principals of Tamera, Healing Biotope
sexual qigong practices (from Mantak Chia's work)
time for reflection and active mapping of vision
forest walk and bluff-top intention setting ceremony
yoga nidra and sound healing to close

Jennifer McLeish-Lewis: Yoga Nidra
Jennifer has been a student of yoga for fifteen years and a teacher for ten. She is also a professional contemporary dancer and choreographer. Jennifer’s passion as a dancer and dedication to the philosophy of yoga have led her to weave total body integration into the art of deep relaxation.
Emily Buck is a yoga teacher, workshop facilitator and summer camp counsellor (for adults). She brings a light, playful energy to group activities, inviting others to step outside their comfort zone and connect deeper with themselves and those around them.
She will be leading some silly games to bring us together and loosen up to show up:)
Jaya was born into a meditating family and practiced daily from a very young age. This led her to explore a variety of meditation and asana yoga styles by her mid 20’s. She continues to have an appreciation for various lineages, yet her focus and study is primarily in Kundalini yoga and meditation. She is excited to be part of this New Year's co-creation.
